2010 International Business Awards
The Business Courier is launching the International Business Awards in conjunction with the Xavier University/SODEC Annual International Trade conference, organized by the U.S. Commercial Service in Cincinnati. This program will identify, reward, and honor companies that have excelled in the international marketplace.
We are currently accepting nominations in the following categories:
- For companies that have succeeded in a new market for the first time or for companies that have started exporting for the first time. Must explain how they got started or how they entered the new market.
- Recognizes outstanding international trade achievement by a company, including growth and new inroads in the international marketplace. A significant portion of business must be international.
- For outstanding international service provided to clients in the region; new initiatives to better serve international companies; and/or corporate stewardship in the region.
- For companies with foreign capital input exceeding 10 percent and with long-term investment potential. Presence in the market has a significant impact on the U.S. economy and increases the competitiveness of the U.S. market. Recorded positive growth for overall revenues and generated at least 10 percent of sales in foreign markets.
All nominees must be located in the 15-county, three state Greater Cincinnati region or 4-county Dayton region. These counties include: Ohio – Brown, Butler, Clermont, Greene, Hamilton, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, and Warren; Kentucky – Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, and Pendleton; Indiana – Dearborn, Franklin, and Ohio
The nomination deadline is July 15.

Internship Opportunity!
The GCCCC is looking for an Intern! Duties will include assisting with bookkeeping, membership, website management, and communication. Ideal candidate will have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Constant Contact, Quickbooks, and web authoring. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Although this internship is unpaid, it will be a wonderful opportunity to learn office finance management and contact management skills. It will also provide invaluable opportunities to network with our members and friends. There are plenty of things to learn and you will certainly never be bored!
