Economic ties between China and the United States continue to strengthen and  mature. Driven initially by US corporate investments in China and exports from China to the United States,  the relationship evolved to  include  increased imports from America and the financing of US government debt by China.  Most experts predict that the US and China are now at the cusp of a new era of economic cooperation that will include significant investment in the US by China’s enterprises and investment funds. This new era opens up great opportunities for both nations and can be an economic shot in the arm for regions in the US that are successful in attracting investments by China’s enterprises.
